Chaos versus Resilience

Amid chaos how can we define the concept of resilience? Is the concept of resilience innate, or is resilience birthed over time during the process of adversity? These are both rhetorical questions. Questions to be answered as they apply to you, my readers.

Amid chaos how do we center ourselves into the rollercoaster of it all? Into the flow of the unknown tides of a vast ocean trying to keep our own heads above water. I have been told I am resilient. Resiliency is a worthy quality. One must know their worth in the world. Especially, in the present moment.

I know I am a gem that sparkles. Not in the spotlight, but behind the scenes of life. I take in all that I have observed and cherish those observances to be remembered in my past, in the present, and on the horizon of the future. The present moment is the only guarantee we have.

Amid the Chaos I am resilient, but it is because of the village that raised me up. You know who you are, and you know of your impact. No kind gesture is too small. No kind word or deed goes unnoticed in my eyes.

I write this to let you all know that I see you. I hear you. I see the adversities I have overcome and all that is yet to be. I see the adversities YOU have overcome readers. There is truth in the fact that we lean upon the shoulders of others. In the end, we are all one in this world.

I am a leader due to shadowing the leadership of those who have raised me in the sense of the “it takes a village mantra.” The mantra rings true. Communication in all its forms has rebirthed my own sense of resilience.

In my life’s journey, resilience is paired with the adversities intertwined with Chronic illnesses, and grieving, and joyous occasions. Grief and joy equal a life that soon flashes before our eyes. I am resilient because of how I carry myself and who has carried me upon their shoulders along my life’s path. Amid the chaos of life, I am a resilient gem that shines brightly in the sunlight and in the moonlight.
